New Delhi, July 10 (UNI) Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz today met Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar to discuss the ways of promoting horticulture and fisheries in Jammu and Kashmir.

Prof Soz complained to Mr Pawar that the National Fisheries Development Board was yet to spread its activities in J&K and explained in detail how the activities could bring development, particularly in breeding Trout fish variety which had huge export market. The Horticulture Mission should also have promotional activities in the state, the minister asserted.

Mr Pawar responded positively to Prof Soz's proposals and assured him that steps would be taken to activate these activities on priority. The Water Resources Minister also invited Mr Pawar to visit his home state J&K.
