Scores of protesting women anganwari workers hurt in Kashmir
Srinagar, July 10 (UNI) Scores of protesting women anganwari workers were wounded, some of them critically, when police used batons and fired teargas shells to disperse them here today.
Hundreds of anganwari workers gathered at Lal Chowk here, demanding permanent jobs and increase in their wages.
As the protestors tried to take out a protest march, police stopped them near Lal Chowk and used force to disperse them.
However, the angry protesters offered stiff resistance and clashed with police.
Scores of protesting anganwari workers were wounded in the clash.
