Rs 3.88 cr plan to revive Rakshi Nullah approved
Chandigarh, July 10 (UNI) The Haryana government has cleared the project of Irrigation Department under which Rakshi Nullah at Ladwa was to be revived with a cost of Rs 3.88 crore.
Earlier the cost of the Nullah was mooted to be Rs 2.68 crore but work could not be started at that time.
Haryana Irrigation Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said the cost had been revised due to increase of floor rates of land.
He said Rakshi Nullah scheme was proposed to be taken up in two phases. In the 1st phase, the Nullah would be revived from Bubka Head to Sirsa branch in a length of about 34 km whereas in the second phase, five irrigation channels would be constructed from Rakshi to irrigate 11750 acres land of 32 villages.
