RPF officer molests lady IAS officer in train
Patna, July 10 (UNI) The Bihar government today demanded stern action against the Deputy Inspector General of Railway Protection Force (RPF) for allegedly molesting a senior lady IAS officer last night.
The RPF DIG was accused of molesting the lady officer in the Patna-bound Sampoorna Kranti Express.
State Home Secretary Afzal Amanullah here said Vandana Prayasi had lodged a complaint against DIG P J Rawal, clamiming he misbehaved with her inside the compartment in an inebriated state.
''On the basis of her complaint we have requested the Centre and the Railway Ministry to take immediate action against the accused, no matter how influential he is. No one is above the law,'' the Home Secretary stated.
Ms Prayasi is presently attached with the state Home Department as a senior officer.
However, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, when asked for his comment, gave a clean chit to the DIG and said he already had a talk with him and that nothing had happened.
