NICO Neem combats pest naturally claims company

Rajkot, July 10 (UNI) Dakor-based Nico Orgo Manures has claimed its Neem-based natural products would be useful to Saurashtra farmers against locust attack.

The company, in a press release here today, claimed its ''Nico Neem'' is a herbal pesticide that combats pests naturally. This product would need to be used as a repellent and anti-feedant in the crops and then it will act as an insect growth regulator, the release said. Nico Neem is non-toxic to beneficial insects like honeybees, it claimed.

The company claimed that ''Nico Neem'' does not leave any residue in soil, crop or environment. It also said kthe product is biodegradable, environment-friendly and protects crops naturally.

Meanwhile, the local administration here has set up a control room and has instructed concerned authorities to remain vigilant against locust attack.
