Journalist among 2 killed, three injured in collision

Kolhapur, July 10 (UNI) Two persons, including a journalist, were killed and three others injured in a collision between a jeep and a truck near Attigre Phata on Kolhapur-Sangli State highway, some 20 km from here today.

The deceased were identified as Prashant Kulkarni (33), working as a sub-editor in Sakal newspaper, Kolhapur, and Yusuf Mahamad Huzare (24). They were travelling in the jeep that was proceeding towards Sangli from Kolhapur, while the truck was on its way to Kolhapur when the accident occurred, police sources said.

The injured have been admitted to the Chhatrapati Pramila Raje hospital here, sources added.
