Job fair coordinating with Textile Ministry begins on July 28
Tiruchirapalli, July 10 (UNI) A two-day mega 'Job Fair 2007', the first of its kind, organized by Axon Infosoft India Private Ltd in coordination with the Textiles Committee Ministry of Textiles Government of India will begin at Tirupur, the knitwear capital of India, on July 28.
Talking to mediapersons here today, C S Manoharan CEO of Axon Infosoft, a leader behind the automation efforts of the apparel and textile industry said, the event would be a road map with innovative approach in fulfilling man power requirements in all categories of textile and its allied industries.
He said the job fair would bring in candidates from different industrial and non-industrial clusters from all over Tamil Nadu, apparel and textile clusters of India and SAARC nations. The event would have around 100 booths of corporate employers and consultancy firms as participants.
Sufficient number of help-desk counters assisting the employee and employer community for pre-screening, verifying and appropriate routing to the respective employer booths using requisite software tools would be the highlight of the event, he added.
He said Tirupur would witness a great demand for skilled labour to manage their large quantum of export orders. Though the infrastructure levels had remarkably improved with many composite manufacturing facilities and quality certification process levels, there was a great struggle for manpower ranging from top, middle and lower management professionals.
Similarly, the floor level labour category requirements were also very high and hence the job fair would be a better platform for job seekers and employers, he added.
