Heritage paintings to be restored in Rajasthan
Jaipur, July 10 (UNI) Rajasthan government will soon take up the restoration work of invaluable wall and miniature paintings, scattered throughout the state in its musuems, palaces and forts.
Sources say for this, the Archaeological and Museum department has invited applications from different organisations, trusts and also artists, who will help in the restoration of paintings.
The restoration work will begin from Jaipur's Albert Hall museum, where experts will start with 80 wall paintings initially. Later about 100 miniature paintings will also be restored.
The Albert Hall has 100 to 200 years old wall paintings, which are restored and safe for the moment.
