Haryana: Rs 1073 cr plan for roads, bridges
Chandigarh, July 10 (UNI) The Haryana government has chalked out an ambitious plan for strengthening, widening and four laning of roads besides constructing by-passes and railway over bridges (ROBs) at a cost of Rs 1073 crore.
This was revealed at a meeting of PWD officials convened by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today to review the ongoing projects.
The Chief Minister said the loan would be obtained from National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB).
He said the proposal for constructing three railway over bridges (ROBs) and nine road works amounting to Rs 338 crore had also been sent to NCRPB by the state government for approval.
Mr Hooda directed the Commissioner and Secretary (PWD) K K Jalan the efforts should be made to get the proposal got cleared from NCRPB so that the works could be expedited.
The Chief Minister also directed the officers to complete all ongoing Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sarak Yojana (PMGSY) during the current financial year.
He directed the officers to follow up the Rs 447 crore project of Haryana Rural Roads Upgradation under PMGSY with Ministry of Rural Development. The project would cover 1085 km of roads.
