Francis Silveria sworn in as Parliamentary Secretary
Panaji, July 10 (UNI) Francis Silveria Manuel, Congress legislator representing St Andre Assembly constituency in North Goa, was sworn in today as the Parliamentary Secretary to the State government.
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Francis at the new secretariat complex at Porvorim.
Mr Francis is the third Parliamentary Secretary appointed during the past week. The others were Nilkant Harlankar(NCP) and Ms Victoria Fernandes representing Tivim and Santa Cruz constituencies respectively.
The Parliamentary Secretaries carry cabinet status with all perks and priviliges except file noting power, and work directly under the Chief Minister.
