CPI(M) to continue land struggle in AP
Hyderabad, July 10 (UNI) Demanding that the Andhra Pradesh Government implement the recommendations of K Ranga Rao Committee by distributing agricultural lands and house sites to the poor in the state, the Communist Party of India, CPI(M) today said it would continue its 'land occupation struggle' until every poor family benefitted.
Calling on all political parties and organisations to participate in the struggle, the CPI(M) in an extensive state party meeting, adopted a resolution that the party would fight against the Government until the implementation of the Ranga Rao Committee recommendations.
Alleging that the Government was foisting cases against the Left party leaders and activists to supress the agitation, the party urged the people's organisations to constitute 'land struggle committees' and launch agitation for the distribution of lands to the poor, a press release said here.
