Councillors of Puducherry Municipality hold demo

Puducherry, July 10 (UNI) The councillors of the Puducherry Municipality lead by Chairperson Sreedevi today held a demonstration in front of the municipal building here.

The agitation was to protest against the failure of the government to devolve powers to the elected local body representatives even after one year in office.

They shouted slogans demanding the provision of administrative and financial powers to them.
