Bomb scare turns out to be hoax

Pune, July 10 (UNI) An anonymous telephone call to the Bharatiya Vidhyapeeth Bhavan, saying a bomb had been planted in the complex here today, turned to be a hoax after a thorough search.

The Bharatiya Vidhyapeeth authorities who received the call this morning immediately informed the police. A bomb detection squad and a sniffer dog squad was dispatched to the site. The entire complex was vacated.

After searching the premises for over two hours, the teams did not find anything, police control room said.
