BMC to give extra FSI to developers to reduce parking woes

Mumbai, July 10 (UNI) The Improvement Committee of the Brhanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today cleared a proposal to give 50 per cent extra Floor Space Index (FSI) to the developers for developing municipal parking lots in the city.

Under the proposal, if a developer develops a Municipal parking lot and gives extra built-up space to the Corporation, he will be given 50 per cent free FSI of the developed plot.

The BMC administration, in turn, can sell these plots according to the market rate.
