BJP corporator held for stealing mother-in-law's ornaments

Jamnagar, July 10 (UNI) The Jamnagar police have arrested a BJP corporator and his wife in connection with the theft of gold ornaments worth over Rs 1.35 lakh from his in-law's house.

Police arrested Vallabhbhai Mandan Parmar and his wife Diwaliben last evening following recovery of the stolen gold ornaments from their house.

Police said a complaint had been registered by the corporator's mother-in-law Nanuben Manoharbhai that thieves had stolen the gold ornaments from her locked house prior to July 3. In her complaint, Nanuben told the police that she had been informed about the theft by her son-in-law while she was in Mumbai.

Police had employed sniffer dogs which led them to the son-in-law's house.
