91 Indian exhibitors participate in BroadcastAsia
Mumbai, July 10 (UNI) As many as 91 exhibitors from India and the Indian sub-continent took part in Asia's largest infocomm and media trade exhibition, 'CommunicAsia, EnterpriseIT, InteractiveDME and BroadcastAsia', in Singapore.
The exhibition, held a couple of days ago, was spread over eight halls, in which a total of 2,413 exhibiting companies from 65 countries/regions demonstrated solutions on digital convergence in reality.
Of the total 68,192 visitors from across the globe, Indian visitors made up the 4th largest non-Singaporean nationality attending the CommunicAsia and BroadcastAsia event. They comprised the largest nationality group outside of Southeast Asia. There were more than 2,000 Indian attendees at this year's event.
Of the 91 exhibitors, 79 exhibited at CommunicAsia alone, signalling an increase of 20 per cent exhibitors from India and the Indian sub-continent over the last year.
Some of the exhibitors for CommunicAsia included Shyam Telecom (Vihaan Networks), Matrix Telecom and Infosys Technologies among others, while Essel Shyam Technologies Ltd, Monarch Computers Pvt Ltd, Indiasign and Beehive Systems Ltd made up some of the exhibitors for BroadcastAsia, a release said here today.
''We've seen a strong overall growth in this year's events, both from the visitors' attendance and the size of the exhibition. It is also exciting to see that Digital Convergence has taken off in a big way at the combined halls of CommunicAsia and BroadcastAsia this year. Many innovative convergent solutions showcased will help to crystallize the digital vision for the near future,'' said Stephen Tan, chief executive of Singapore Exhibition Services and president of All World Exhibitions Alliance, in the release.
At BroadcastAsia, Fujinon Singapore concluded a multi-million dollar deal with Broadcast Solutions, which included purchase of HD lenses, HD vision mixers, HD camcorders, VTRs, monitors and glue solutions. Broadcast Solutions also closed deals with EVS with orders crossing the US 5 million dollars mark, one of the largest single HD equipment purchases seen in Singapore, it added.
