3 bodies recovered, flood situation improves in Midnapore
Midnapore, July 09 (UNI) Three bodies, including that of a woman, were recovered from Subarnarekha river today in due to the flood caused by incessant rain.
District Magistrate B P Barat said 12 bodies were floating in the river from the direction of Jharkhand.
One body was recovered while the operation to recover other bodies was still on, he said.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a person was killed in Narayangarh after a building collapsed.
However, flood situation in the district improved except Pataspur and Egra.
200 relief camps were set up for the flood-affected people and at least 40,000 people rescued, official sources said.
