Three killed, three injured and two houses gutted in Kashmir
Srinagar, July 9 (UNI) Three people were killed, three wounded and two houses were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight in separate incident incidents, a police spokesman said today.
He said a truck collided head on with a sumo near Sangam on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir this morning resulting in, on the spot death of the sumo driver. Two others were injured in the accident. The injured have been hospitalised.
In another incident a truck hit and wounded a cyclist Zahoor Ahmad Dar at Garoora, Bandipora in north Kashmir, who was later admitted to a hospital.
One Khurshid Ahmad Bhat was drowned in Ghat Nullah at Palhalan, Pattan, last evening. His body was later recovered and handed over to his family members today, sources said.
Two houses and a shed were gutted in a devastating fire at Gund Machar and Bijhama.
