TDP to work with Clinton on AIDS, poverty and global warming
Hyderabad, July 9 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said the party would cooperate with former US president Bill Clinton to eradicate problems like poverty, AIDS and global warming in the world.
Addressing the Press here after returning from his two-week visit to the US, Mr Naidu said he discussed the three issues with Mr Clinton and assured him that the party would extend help for the noble cause. Mr Clinton also promised to fight against poverty, AIDS and environmental problems.
Stating that Mr Clinton, being a global leader, had the capacity to fight against social problems, Mr Naidu said Telugu NRIs were also assisting the former US president in this regard.
Exuding confidence that the Telugu NRIs would play a key role in the economic development of the US as the Jews community had reached heights in that country, Mr Naidu said he also discussed the issues of promotion of Indian community in all sectors and issues related to farmers and artisans with the Telugu NRIs, during the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) meeting held in Washington.
A trust in the name of TDP founder and late Chief Minister N T Rama Rao would be established in the US in future, he added.
