TCL launches 11 new TV models for Onam season

Kochi, July 9 (UNI) Eyeing the forthcoming Onam season, TCL India Holding Private Limited has launched 11 new TV models and expects to garner Rs 32 crore.

Speaking to reporters here, Managing Director of TCL India Holdings Private Ltd, a subsidiary of China-based TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Limited, Warren Wang said the company was introducing the products here for the first time in India considering the vibrancy of the Kerala market.

He said the models in 14'', 15'', 21'' and 29'' would be priced between Rs 4,490 and Rs 1.25 lakh.

''With every purchase under the offer, which will be open till August 28, customers will be able to win prizes including a trip for three lucky customers to China,'' Mr Warren said.

Vice-President (Sales) Rajesh Rathi said the company was targeting to sell 40,000 units with a total value of Rs 32 crore in the season.

Kerala accounted for seven to eight per cent market share in the country compared to the all-India share of three per cent.

The company also launched new models of colour panel air conditioners costing between Rs 13,990 and Rs 28,990.
