New Delhi:1 man killed, 24 school children injured

New Delhi, July 9: One person was killed and 24 school children injured when an overcrowded RTV bus overturned in Preet Vihar area of east Delhi early this morning.

The dead person, identified as Suleiman(50), was the guardian of one of the students, said a senior police official.

Six students were admitted to three different hospitals, while 18 were discharged after first-aid.

The RTV bus was over speeding and met with the accident while trying to save a scooter at about 0640 hours. It was carrying students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Karkardooma.
