Many trains cancelled due to water logging in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, July 9 (UNI) Due to heavy rains and water logging in various sections of the Rajkot and Bhavnagar divisions, the Western Railway has been forced to cancel or reschedule some trains.

The 9221 Ahmedabad-Veraval Express that was to leave Ahmedabad today and its corresponding train 9222 Veraval-Ahmedabad Express, also scheduled to leave from Veraval today, were cancelled.

The 4707 Bikaner-Bandra Express, scheduled to leave from Bikaner today, was also cancelled. The 4708 Bandra-Bikaner Express, scheduled to leave Bandra on July 10, will run as per schedule with available rake, a WR release said.

The 2480 Bandra-Jodhpur Express, scheduled to leave Bandra today, was also cancelled. The 2989 Bandra-Ajmer Express, scheduled to leave Mumbai today at 14:20 hrs was re-scheduled for 19:25 hrs.

Owing to heavy rains and water logging between Himmatnagar-Khedbharma section in Ahmedabad Division, certain trains had to be terminated.

Breeches in the Mehsana-Taranga Hill metre guage section of Ahmedabad Division has also led to cancellation and termination of certain trains in this section.
