Kerala Assembly pays homage to Chandra Shekhar

Thiruvananthapuram, July 9 (UNI) The Kerala Assembly today paid tributes to former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar, who died yesterday.

Assembly Speaker K Radhakrishnan moved the condolence motion as soon as the House assembled. Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy and leaders of various parties remembered his contributions.

The House was adjourned for the day, without transacting any business.
