Gujarat Govt to build 'Kirti Teerth' for Verma

Gandhinagar, July 9 (UNI) The Gujarat government today decided to dedicate a big monumental park 'Kirti Teerth' to legendary freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Verma.

In a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Narendra Modi, it was decided to allot 152-acre government land.

''The park would exhibit the glimpses of Indian freedom struggle from 1857 to 1947. It would highlight the role played by late Verma in the freedom struggle,'' said Mr Modi.

'Kirti Teerth' would be accomplished by 2010, he added.

In the meeting, cabinet ministers Vaju Vala, Anandi Patel, Kaushik Patel, I K Jadeja, Pushpadan Gadhavi and Anant Dave were present.
