Gujarat braces to fight water-borne diseases after floods
Gandhinagar, July 9 (UNI) The Gujarat government has galvanised state machinery to check the possible outbreak of water-borne diseases in the state after the floods.
According to an official release, the health department has begun distribution of bleaching powder, chloroscope, chlorine tablets, water testing field feet and phenyl to quell the outbreak of leptospirosis.
The department has dispatched five teams of doctors to Surat, Bardoli, Chikhali, Valsad and Navsari district in South Gujarat to deal with water-borne diseases.
