Court denies Monica Bedi morechance for evidence
Bhopal, July 9 (UNI) A local court today denied underworld don Abu Salem's starlet-girlfriend Monica Bedi an opportunity to present defence-related evidence in a fake passports case as she did not do so within the stipulated period.
The defence was to present evidence today in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Shrivastav. The bench had given three chances to the defence. The hearing will continue tomorrow.
In November 2001, a case was registered by the city police crime branch in the Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, his wife Samira Jumani and Ms Bedi for having fake passports made at the regional passport office using the fictitious names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively.
