Congress MLA demands police register attempt murder cases

Hyderabad, July 9 (UNI) Former minister and Congress MLA Janardhan Reddy, whose son and son-in-law were arrested and remanded to judicial custody after Chief Minister YS Rajasekahra Reddy's brother lodged a complaint against them, today demanded that the police also register attempt to murder cases against the CM's brother and his son.

Talking to newsmen here, Mr Reddy pointed out that the police had registered attempt to murder cases under 307 section against his son and son-in-law after the Chief Minister's brother Ravinder Reddy lodged a complaint with the police.

But the police were not registering attempt to murder cases against the CM's brother and his son even after his wife lodged a complaint against them, he charged.

After calling off his 'sit in' protest in the Jublee Hills police station, demanding that the police register cases against the CM's relatives, the Congress MLA said he would continue his struggle until the two were arrested under section 307.
