Bharati Shipyard bags orders worth Rs 4.34 cr

New Delhi, July 9 (UNI) Leading private shipyard, Bharati Shipyard Ltd today secured an order worth Rs 4.34 crore from Norway-based Sea Cargo Skips for design, construction and supply of two container vessels.

The vessels are meant to operate between various ports of Scandinavia and United Kingdom, a statement said.

Company's Managing Director P C Kapoor said in the statement,'' The order reflects our unique expertise in building eco-friendly vessels and the high confidence that we at BSL enjoy from our global customers. Our total order book, now stands at Rs 3,900 crore, comprising of 43 vessels.'' The company is in the process of building a green field shipyard at Mangalore with capacity nearly four times higher than the existing yards.
