Sanskrit 'gurukul' basks in triumph of Taj

Varanasi, July 8 (UNI) A Sanskrit gurukul in this ancient city, which was endlessly working for voting Taj Mahal among the modern day world wonders, today celebrated the triumph of the monument of love by distributing sweets among its 'batus' (students).

''The victory of the monument of love symbolises the triumph of national pride as Taj is the perfect epitome of cultural magnificence of India,'' said Jagjitan Pandey, the general secretary of Dharam Sangh Shiksha Mandal.

'Batus' (students) dressed in traditional sartorials, who had been endlessly working for the Taj cause by taking out marches across the city to appeal for voting the glorious monument among the seven new world wonders, rejoiced by consuming sweets in plenty.

''It is not a triumph of Taj, but a world victory for India,'' said Shantanu a student at the gurukul.

Besides, appealing people to vote for Taj, the gurukul had also arranged a free of cost internet and mobile-messaging service to help people vote for Taj without spending a single penny from their pockets.
