Nitish condoles the death of Chandrashekhar

Patna, Jul 8 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today condoled the death of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar and said it was an irreparable loss.

Mr Kumar had also announced three days of state mourning in the state from July 8 to 10. All the official functions would remain suspended during these days.

The chief minister said Mr Chandrashekhar, popularly known as 'Young Turk' in the political field, was a committed social leader, who strived for the cause of the oppressed section.

His vision gave a new and positive direction to the society and politics, Mr Kumar added.

The former prime minister, who headed the nation for just nine months, would be remembered for his secular ideologies, thoughts and principles.

Mr Kumar said Mr Chandrasekhar's death was a personal loss to him.

He said the next generation would draw inspirations from the personality and traits of this great leader.
