Man kills woman, her son

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, July 8 (UNI) In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly killed a woman and her son at Pentapadu village near here today.

Police said Kovvuri Kaniki Reddy (52) attacked Kayala Swarnalatha (42) and her son Jeevadhar (22) with knife at their residence.

While Swarnalatha was killed on the spot, Jeevadhar succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

Personal animosity was said to be the reason behind the attack.

Later, Kaniki Reddy surrendered before Pentapadu police station.

The bodies were taken for post-mortem, police added.
