Lalu-Rabri condole Chandrashekhar's death

Patna, July 8 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and Opposition leader in Bihar Assembly Rabri Devi today condoled the death of former prime minister Chandrashekhar, describing it as a loss to the nation.

In their condolence message, they said the country had lost a great socialist leader and reformer.

They said a void has been created in the political field following Mr Chandrashekhar's death.

The loss was irrepairable, Mr Prasad said adding that he had struggled to protect the democratic principles and his contribution in nation building would be rememberd forever.

The Railway Minister dubbed him as a ''champion of the poor'', who always worked for their cause.

Rabri Devi and Lalu Prasad also prayed for the bereaved family.
