Fortis to raise headcount to 10,000 in 5 yrs

New Delhi, July 8: Fortis HealthWorld, the retail arm of the Fortis Group today said it will increase the number of headcounts to 10,000 in the next five years.

''As we open more Fortis HealthWorld outlets, our headcounts will gradually increase from the current level of 400 including contractual labourers to 10,000 over five years,'' said Fortis HealthWorld Chief Executive Officer Ashish Kirpal Pandit.

Fortis HealthWorld, currently has 13 stores, but it intends to open 1,000 stores in the next five years. Each store has a diagnostic centre, health foods, health care goods, pharmaceuticals and other FMCG items of daily needs.
