Jaipur, July 8 (UNI) The death toll due to flood related incidents in Rajasthan reached 20 including seven people still missing in Jhalawar district and one more death reported today from Udaipur district due to a house collapse.

State Relief secretary CK Mathew said the rescue workers today fished out the body of a woman along with the Jugad, a motorised vehicle, which was washed away in a flash flood at Ghata Hera under Aklera tehsil in Jhalawar district last evening.

The body was recovered during a search operation, and the search for the remaining seven people was on.

In a seperate incident, the death of a three-year-old girl was reported today due to house collapse from Kotada teshil of Udaipur district. The child was killed in Mahadi village after she got buried under the mud house.

Meanwhile, there is a let up in the flood sitaution in Jodhpur after water from the breached Jaswant Sagar dam flowed down the Luni river which is considerably easing the threat to the down stream villages of the area.

Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner Ms Kiran Soni Gupta said the dam had a capacity of 1865 MCFT, but now only 56 MCFT of water was left and with let up in the heavy rain in the region, the situation has improved in the Jodhpur division.

However, the forecast of heavy downpour in Kota division in the next twenty four hours has put the police and district administration on their toes.

Mr Mathew said the district collectors and police were alerted following the forecast of heavy rain in this region.

Rail services in the Jodhpur Division has also been disrupted due to water loging in Jodhpur-Marwar junction, Merta Road-Bikaneer and Samdari-Bhildi (meter gauge) section.
