1 killed, 4 injured in wall collapse

Belgaum, Karnataka, July 8 (UNI) One person was killed and four injured when a compound wall collapsed while they were trying to clear the water from a marooned factory here today.

Police said the private factory shed was surrounded by water due to the heavy rainfall and a group of workers went to clear the water when the mishap occurred killing Sridhar Arun Lad (19).

The injured were admitted to a hospital.

Meanwhile heavy rainfall resumed in several parts of the district especially in Belgaum and Khanapur Taluks.

In view of the adverse weather, the authorities declared a holiday for schools and colleges in the affected places tomorrow.
