Tapasi case: Debu Malik's jail custody till Jul 21
Kolkata, July 7: Debu Malik, arrested in the murder of Tapasi Malik, was today remanded in jail custody till July 21 by a sub-divisional court.
CBI sources said Malik was produced before the Chandannagore court in Hooghly this morning and was ordered jail custody.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had also arrested the CPI(M) Singur zonal committee secretary Suhrid Dutta and Dibakar Malik, a CPI(M) supporter in this connection.
The central agency has been interrogating seven more people in connection with the Tapasi murder case.
The charred body of the 18-year-old Tapasi, an activist of the anti-land acquisition movement, was found inside the project area of Tata Motors.
