Speaker holds meeting on TRS dissident MLAs disqualification

Hyderabad, July 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy today held a meeting to decide on the fate of nine dissident Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLAs.

Mr Reddy reserved his verdict after giving a patient hearing to TRS Legislature party leader G Vijayarama Rao, who had filed a petition seeking disqualification of the dissidents, as also to the dissidents, including D Srinivasa Rao and M Satyanarayana.

Dissident legislators, including Mr Kasipeta Lingaiah, who was facing charges in connection with the human trafficking racket, Mr Santosh Reddy and Mr T Jayaprakash Reddy, did not attend the meet.

The TRS party had alleged that the dissidents had voted for independent candidate K Gyaneswar in the Legislative Council elections, resulting in the defeat of the party official candidate K Sudarshan.
