Sarpanch nabbed of taking Rs 30,000 bribe
Chandigarh, July 7 (UNI) Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught red-handed a Sarpanch of Barnala village in Ambala District, while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 30,000 from a man for running wine shop.
The Sarpanch of Barnala in Ambala district Parmjeet Singh was nabbed while taking the bribe from Gajraj Singh, resident of Vivek Vihar in Ambala city, in lieu of giving him the permission to run a wine shop in Barnala village.
A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in the bureau's police station at Ambala.
