Rs 486 project for six-laning of Delhi-Rohtak road
Chandigarh, July 7 (UNI) The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded Rs 486 crore project for six-laning of Delhi-Bhadurgarh-Rohtak road on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis and it would be completed in two years.
The project, covering a road length of 63.5 km, has been awarded to KCT-ERA (consortium), Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today.
Apart from six-laning of the existing National Highway, two long bypasses would also be constructed at Bahadurgarh and Rohtak, he said.
While the Bahadurgarh bypass would be 13 km long, the Rohtak bypass would be 25 km long.
He said with the six-laning of the National Highway and construction of these two bypasses, the problem of traffic congestion would be eased and movement of traffic would be more safe and comfortable.
Also, the project would prove a boon and add to the economy of the state and the country.
