Round-the-clock bhajan begins at Tirumala

Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, July 7 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams' (TTD) unique non-stop bhajan programme ''Akhanda Harinama Sankeerthana'' was launched by Udipi Pezwar Mutt Head Visweswara Theerthaswamy near Kalyana Katta here today.

After launching the programme, the swamiji said bhajans and bhakthi yagnams were the same and fetched similar results for the devotees.

Speaking on the occasion, TTD Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy said the programme would help 'bhajana mandalis' in the villages of the state to create bhakthi movement among the society at the village-level.

Tirumala-based Srihari Rama Bhajana Mandali was the first to performed the 'Sankeertana' as part of 'Akhanda Hari Nama Sankeerthan.

TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary also participated in the bhajan.

UNI
