Media glare forces Ahmeds into house arrest like situation

Bangalore, July 7 (UNI) With the Ahmeds' residence coming under the media microscope, the parents of Sabeel and Kafeel Ahmed, suspects in the abortive Glasgow terror attack, have chosen to stay closetted inside the house to keep the swarming newspersons at bay.

In what can be described as self imposed house arrest, the Ahmeds have virtually remained indoors since the last two days due to frequent police questionings and the ubiquitous media.

The parents of the terror suspects, who were talking to the media earlier, changed tack after the police started questioning them in the presence of their advocates.

The house in the Banashankari II Stage has become a kind of mediacentre with presspersons maintaining a round-the-clock vigil for any news break.

Anyone close to the family is being tracked for a 'byte.' OB vans of several channels are dotting the area for 'live' relays of any breaking news.
