Maoist Area Commander arrested with catche of arms

Arwal, July 7 (UNI) Self-styled Area Commander of the outlawed CPI (Maoist), Tej Narain Singh, was arrested from Nasirwa village under Manikpur police station area in the district along with some arms and ammunition today.

Describing the arrest as a major break-through, the police here said acting on a tip off they raided the village early this morning and arrested Tej Narain Singh.

Two rifles, one countrymade revolver and 80 rounds of cartridges were also recovered from him.

The hardcore maoist was on the run since he escaped from the Jehanabad jail two years ago.
