Man gets seven-year term for killing wife
Patna, Jul 7 (UNI) A local court here today handed down seven years rigorous imprisonment to a man for killing his wife for dowry.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 1000 on the convict.
Additional District and Sessions Judge of Patna B M Srivastava found Santosh Kumar, a resident of Majhauli village under Danapur police station area, guilty of killing his wife for dowry.
According to the charges, the victim was killed under Danapur police station area of Patna district by her husband, when her parents failed to fulfill the demand of a motorcycle and TV in dowry on May 18, 2003.
