Dera follower dies of burn injuries in Safdarjung Hosp
New Delhi, July 7 (UNI) A Dera Sacha Sauda follower, who sustained more than 90 per cent burns after attempted self-immolation in Sirsa, has died in a city hospital, officials said today.
Jaswinder Singh, who set himself afire on July 2 in protest against the case filed by the Punjab Police against the Dera chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh, passed away at Safdarjung hospital last night, they added.
Singh, hailing from Bathinda district of Punjab, set himself afire outside the Deputy Commissioner's office where 25 Dera followers were sitting on a ''fast-unto-death.'' UNI
