Car rams into bullock carts, six injured

New Delhi, July 7 (UNI) Six people were injured when a car rammed into three bullock carts in upscale Connaught Place area of New Delhi early this morning.

According to the sources, the car, a luxury sedan, was being driven by a girl, while the owner of the car Rishabh Jain was sitting next to her, when it hit the bullock carts standing near the flower market.

Those injured were taken to the nearby Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Two bottles of liqour were also recovered from the car.

However, according to the police, only one person was injured in the accident when the car hit the bullock cart.

Rishabh Jain, a 20-year-old student, was arrested soon after the car hit a bullock cart at about 0400 hrs near the flower market opposite Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place, while the girl 'escaped from the scene, the police said, adding that the car has been impounded.

''The driver of the bullock cart had his leg fractured in the accident. He is admitted to the RML Hospital.'' Rishabh, a Naraina Vihar resident, is the son of a businessman.
