Air Marshal D N Gokhale felicitated

Pune, Jul 7 (UNI) NCP President Sharad Pawar today felicitated Deputy Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal D N Gokhale, a resident of Pune for his achievements.

Mr Pawar felicitated Mr Gokhale at the Pune Municipal Corporation.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawar who was also former Defence Minister said, ''The Air Marshal is a product of Pune and he has done the city proud.'' Touching briefly on different subjects, he said that the national policy on security is the same irrespective of the the party in power, but successive governments at the Centre have maintained and will continue to have cordial relations with neighbours.

Earlier, at the inauguration of a new building for Bio-Technology studies at the Deemed University, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, the NCP supremo also observed that the world is facing different types of terrorism and it was not just confined to India. The change is inevitable in any and every walk of life and we have to prepare ourselves to face the challenges, be it in any field, he added.
