World Congress of Neuroscience at Melbourne from July 12

Hyderabad, July 6 (UNI) Several data presentations from Suven's portfolio of investigational neuroscience compounds will be presented at the five-day International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO) 2007 World Congress of Neuroscience to be held at Melbourne from July 12.

Scientists from Suven Discovery Research would be presenting new data for four promising areas of neuroscience viz. Alzheimer's, Schizophrenia, Parkinson's and Obesity diseases. These areas present significant unmet medical need for which current treatment options were insufficient. Suven has a number of programmes in each of these areas, focusing on novel approaches that may lead to the development of new therapies for patients, a statement issued here today said.

Suven Life Sciences, a Hyderabad-based Life Sciences Company and a pioneer in Contract Research And Manufacturing Services (CRAMS) since, 1995 in its endeavour to become collaborative research partner (CRP) for global life science companies, has embarked on new business model ''Drug Discovery and Development Support Services'' (DDDSS) with the onset of Intellectual Property Regime in India since January 2005.

Suven would present the data on their leading pre-clinical candidates SUVN-502 and SUVN-507 at IBRO 2007 for development of new treatments for neurological disorders.
