Widespread rains lash Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, July 6 (UNI) Heavy rains lashed most places of Himachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours while the state capital witnessed a clear sky without any rainfall.

Met office recorded maximum rain at Sujanpur-Tira (57 mm) followed by Pandoh 53 mm, Naduan 44 mm, Nahan 44 mm, Guler 38 mm, Solang-Nullah 32 mm, Amb 29 mm, Nagrota-Suriya 25mm, Bharwani 25mm, Jogindernagar 23mm, Bartihin 11.9mm, Tissa 12.9 mm, Bangna9.0 mm, Renuka 10.0 mm, Nurpur 9.0 mm and Baijnath 7.0 mm.

A minimum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 24 degrees was recorded at Shimla, Sundernagar recorded a minimum temperature of 23.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 32.2 degrees, minimum of 21.9 degrees and a maximum of 33.5 degrees Celsius in Bhunter while Kalpa recorded a minimum of 12.6 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 25.4 degrees. Dharamshala recorded a minimum of 29.1 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 28.4 degrees while Palampur recorded 20.5 degrees, Nahan 23.3 degrees Celsius, Una 24.2 degrees Celsius and Solan 19.2 degrees Celsius.

Met office has forcast rains and thundershowers in few places of the state in the next 24 hours.
