Two farmers died in 25 feet deep well

Kapurthala July 6 (UNI) Two farmers had died from asphyxia inside a 25 feet deep well at Parvez nagar village near the district last night, police said today.

According to the police the deceased, Shingara Singh (43) and Balwinder Singh (40), went inside the 25 feet deep well to see the fault developed in the electric motor and died of asphyxia after inhaling some poisonous gas inside the well.

The police said the bodies of the deceased were brought to the local civil hospital for post mortem. A case under section 174 of the IPC had been registered, the police added.
