Tibetan Administration waiting for results of sixth round talk
Dharamshala, July 6 (UNI) The Tibetan Administration has been keenly following the results of the recent sixth round of dialogue between the representatives of Tibetan Spiritual leader and Temporal Head Dalai Lama and the People's Republic of China, Prime Minister Tibetan Government in Exile Samdhong Rinpoche said here this morning, at a ceremony marking the 72nd birthday of the Dalai Lama.
Tibetan dignitaries like, Gyalwa Karmapa Rinpoche, Chief Justice Commissioner and Justice Commissioners, Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Kalons, members of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and the officials of the Central Tibetan Administration were also present.
Saying that the two envoys had yesterday returned to Delhi after concluding the 6th round of talks, Prof Samdong Rinpoche underlined that the Tibetans must keep exerting their whole energy in forging a situation wherein Beijing is compelled to properly address the Tibet issue.
The oldest couple of the state - Thakar Pyara Singh, aged 103, and his wife, Hansa Devi, aged 101 - was honoured at the ceremony this morning.
Prof Rinpoche added that even if the Tibetan struggle lasted for centuries, it must be sustained without any sense of despair -just as Dalai Lama always says: 'hope for the best, but prepare for the worst'.
Rinpoche then proposed 11 model action plans, which were broadly categorised as educational, social, economic, religion and culture.
These plans include engaging in meritorious actions to enhance the collective merit of the Tibetan people,establishing close ties with all the people who have cultural, religious and linguistic affinities with the Tibetan people,enhancing Tibetan culture, promoting better health in Tibet, spreading awareness on the current state of Tibet, preserving the unity and harmony of Tibetan community in exile and others.
